Managing Member

George B. Catallo is a spirits writer and consultant from Rochester, NY. His experience in the Wine & Spirits industry has spanned over 15 years and has been spread across nearly every aspect of the industry.

He was most recently with Parkway Wine and Liquor in Greece, NY as their spirits and office manager. He has also been the bar operations manager of Veritas Wine Bar at Alexander Park, an assistant distiller for a craft distillery, a supplier representative for a craft distillery, and has been a judge in numerous national and international spirits competitions. He has been involved in launching brands such as Beelzebubbles hard seltzers and Famer’s Choice vodka that was packaged in a milk jug.

He is currently the assistant editor for Artisan Spirit Magazine, where he also handles advertising sales and their biweekly newsletter and databases detailing targeted industry trends. You can also chat with him about corks while he is developing the US market for JPS Cork Group.

His favorite whiskey styles are single malts (be they Japanese, Scotch, Irish, or American) and American rye. He’s no stranger to a contemporary gin, either.
